France is just a pit stop to Italy mainly because of cheap airfare. I paid more for the cab to the airport than the fare it self (which kinda pissed me off). Ryanair is something special. I did pay to check my bag in since there's no 1st bag free. I had to check my bag in on United and was praying the whole way over here that my bag was in the cargo hold. It was. So we have a 4am wake up. Called a taxis the night before. Was it there at 5am. Nope but luckily a taxis was driving down the street anyway so yes I took it. He said the other person snoozed and lost.
Had to check inon line for Ryan air and print out my own boarding pass and the only way I could do it before I left since was to pay like €5extra. Better then how much it would cost to have them print it out. No wonder they are so cheap. Well anyway I was able to pick my seat. A WINDOW. Don't wanna be squeeze between two people not in the aisle with peopl bumping into me.
Yes there are assigned seats but apparently people don't pay much attention to them. So I sat three rows behind at a window. As the doors were closing the attendant asked people to seat in their assigned seats so that the flight weight load would be balanced. I politely told her that someone was in my assigned seat. She asked me to move to the other side( a middle seat between two people) I said I paid to check in early and choose my seat. And I chose a window seat for a reason. So either I seat in my assigned seat or another window seat. Lucky me. I thought there might have been a issue but I got " upgraded" to a empty more leg room middle seat. I guess they really didn't want to tell the other people to move cause I'm pretty sure that would have resulted in a lot of people having to mive a find their correct seats.
I'm much better with planes now. Not sick feeling in my stomach doing takeoff though that might have been related to the small planes in Mississippi and Nebraska.
Nice is interesting. I have tan lines now. I pretty much spent my time walking away both days. Snapped a few pictures of statues and flowers and the coastline/beaches as well as hills and went to a museum on the ancient artifacts they found.
